Letter: People of Luln

Inde i huset viser manden et brev som er blevet uddelt til de omkring liggende gårde. Han vil ikke blive og kæmpe efter episoden for lidt siden, men derimod tage væk til en fætter i Kelvin.

People of Luln (or bandits, as your oppressors would name you)

Behind the walls of your town, laws are in place to protect you…and in breaking them one is punished accordingly. Outside the walls however…while no law exists…it does not seem to exist in regards to those of the neighboring Barony known as the Black Eagles.

Many of you have spoken of injustices committed upon you by their number. They have killed, maimed, thieved and slandered, yet rarely are they reprimanded in any way.

Is this because the Duke does not know of their actions? Or chooses to ignore them? Whatever the case, you need be vocal in your cries of indignation and outrage at the corruptness of those from the Black Eagle Barony.

These are people who will slay you for the simple act of being you. They will intimidate and slander, they will steal and they will kill. And should you be so bold or brave as to defy them their sport, to stand and defend yourself…perhaps even defeat one…then the machine clicks into gear and from their city they return in numbers…crushing those who would dare to cry out against their villainy.

To be blatantly honest…no, you can not expect to prevail against an army, nor should you be expected to. It is the duty of the Duke's Forces to protect and defend you should they mount an attack. Divided, the Black Eagles will always conquer you, their numbers winning out every time. But banded together in arms, standing with and for your comrades despite what costs may come and costing them as dearly as they plague us?

Indeed, when the chance arises, all voices should be crying out to the Duke and imploring him to rectify the Barony's bloody behavior. But until that time comes, the only way to protect yourselves, your town mates and your friends is to come together as one…and deliver unto the roving forces of the Barony a message. That enough…is enough. And no more will those of Luln and surronding farms, suffer their murders, intimidation of thieving within the realm of Duke Stefan Karameikos. It is bad enough that they have their blockade, preventing free passage. It is time now for you to face them without the fear they so crave…united and prepared to fight. Fight for your rights to safety and begin to foster change. Offer no resistance and expect no change in turn.

Come to Luln and take up arms against our oppressor.!

/Mistress Sascia
